Thermoplastic hydraulic hose for any medium to high pressure and hose flexibility

September 16, 2014 By Jennifer Calhoon Leave a Comment

Kurt Hydraulics’ full line of thermoplastic hose and R7 couplings are perfect for a vast range of applications. Manufacturers looking for durable hydraulic hoses that can easily flex during operation can trust Kurt Hydraulics complete line of SAE 100 R7, R8 and R18 thermoplastic hydraulics hoses.

SAE R100 R7 is a nylon hose ideal for medium pressure hydraulic systems, such as machine tool applications and lift equipment. The R7 hose offers a unique construction of thermoplastic nylon inner tube, synthetic textile braiding as reinforcement, and a urethane cover. The R7 hose hydraulic hose is rated between 1,000 and 3,000 PSI working pressure, and 4000 and 12,000 PSI minimum burst pressure. The R7 hose is available in eight sizes between 1/8” I.D. and 1” I.D., and is also available in twin line hoses.

KurtSAE R100 R18 and SAE R100 R8 thermoplastic nylon hoses are ideal for high pressure hydraulic systems, and suited for use in construction, agricultural, off-highway vehicle, and plant maintenance equipment. These hoses offer a unique construction of thermoplastic nylon inner tube, unique internal reinforcements, and a black urethane cover. The R18 hose hydraulic hose is rated at 3,000 PSI working pressure, and the R8 is rated between 3,500 and 5,000 PSI working pressure. The R18 hose is available in four sizes from 1/4” to 1/2” I.D, and the R8 hose is available in four sizes from 3/16” to 1/2” I.D., and is also available in twin line hoses.

The R7, R18 and R8 hoses are available in nonconductive versions for use in applications that require electrical component isolation such as power and telephone mobile equipment (bucket trucks), lubrication lines, machine tools, blowout preventer control lines, hydraulic lifts, agricultural equipment, and construction machinery. The working temperature range for all Kurt Hydraulics thermoplastic hoses is -40°F to 212°F. The urethane covering is abrasion, ozone, and weather resistant. The smooth, glossy urethane cover on the thermoplastic hoses also gives it great visual finish.

In addition to common hose configurations, Kurt Hydraulics can also produce specialty, multi-hose setups. Their custom thermoplastic multi-hose creations can include as many hose lines as your application requires. Contact them directly for more information on custom multi-hose manufacturing. Kurt Hydraulics has the most complete line of couplings and fittings for thermoplastic hoses available. They offer the R7 coupling for use with thermoplastic hoses, this line includes both crimped and swaged varieties. Their hose fittings are made in the USA from US steel, and are the best quality hose couplings on the market.

Kurt Hydraulics is part of Kurt Manufacturing, a vertically integrated company and is a national leader in the manufacturing of close tolerance parts and assemblies. Kurt Manufacturing was founded in 1946, specializing in CNC precision machining, gearing and assembly solutions. Kurt works with many industries including semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, oil, and defense.
