PIRTEK Space Coast has opened a new location in Rockledge. Under Dan and Karin Ferretti, the spousal team that owns and operates PIRTEK Space Coast, the facility will continue to serve the hydraulic hose maintenance and repair needs of the Brevard County area. 
Dan Ferretti has a background in finance, contract and accounting services for major defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. A native of Long Island, NY, he has lived on the Space Coast 15 years. His wife, Karin, will continue in her role as the franchise development administrator at PIRTEK USA Corporate Headquarters.
Meeting the owners of other franchises and observing how they support one another helped clinch Dan Ferretti’s decision to move forward with purchasing the Space Coast location. “I had the opportunity to get to know some of the other owners—my impression was that they were very happy with the business,” he said.
Dan Ferretti grew up working for his father’s electrical business, but says he had thoughts of owning his own business as early as his teens. “I’ve always had the desire to lead my own group of employees and to go out, do something and make a difference,” he said. “I believe this is that opportunity.”
Karin Ferretti, CFE, is certified by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives (ICFE). Also raised in Long Island, she has worked in franchise acquisition with PIRTEK for 14 years. “It’s such an interesting and unique business,” she said. “The key to success is to follow PIRTEK’s well-honed franchise business model. It’s as simple as that.”
She added that PIRTEK Space Coast has an advantage of a team already in place from the previous ownership. “It’s an established center and the existing team is phenomenal,” Karin Ferretti said.
