IFPS to hold annual meeting in September

IFPS-2017Logo-gradientThe IFPS 2017 annual meeting will be held September 25-28 at The Alexander in Indianapolis. In addition to committee and board meetings, optional events are planned throughout the week.

A Technical Workshop,  “International Standard IEC 61131 for Programmable Logic Controllers” will be presented on Monday. This workshop will present complete coverage of the syntax, operands, and operators of the six available programming languages of the IEC61131-3 programming standard – Ladder Logic, Instruction List, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, and Continuous Function Chart. The IFPS Electronic Controls Specialist Certification Test requires knowledge of this standard as one of the primary outcomes. Applications will be covered along with visualizations using each of the languages. Participation in this workshop contributes towards recertification and AI reaccreditation requirements.

Registration Fees – Registration must be received by September 8th (after September 8th, a $25 late fee will be applied.)

  • Delegate: $225.00 (includes reception, business meetings, lunches and
    annual dinner.)
  • Spouse: $150.00 (includes reception and annual dinner)
  • Technical Workshop: $150.00 (includes lunch)

A Job Performance Test for Mechanic, Technician and Connector and Conductor Certification is scheduled for Monday, September 25.

Optional Events include a tour of Horner Industrial, an escape room, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and a show at the Indiana Repertory Theatre.

Hotel Reservations – Hotel reservations can be made online or by calling The Alexander at (317) 624-8200. A discount hotel rate of $189.00 plus tax /night has been secured. Mention the International Fluid Power Society to secure the group rate. Reservations must be made by August 28 to receive discounted rate. After August 28, contact Jeana Hoffman jhoffman@ifps.org.
