NAHAD is excited to announce the return of Hose Safety Institute (HSI) Regional Training, a one-of-a-kind interactive classroom experience where attendees participate in various workshops covering hose safety, manufacturing processes, preventative maintenance, emerging technologies, and more. Participants are eligible for 12 hours of continuing education credits toward HSI Handbook or Fabrication recertification.
“NAHAD offers opportunities throughout the year for members to learn best practices in hose design and fabrication, but none surpass the level of interactivity and experiential learning you receive by participating in Regional Training,” said NAHAD Director of Education Joanna Truitt. “The site visits alone to various distributor locations are a sought-after highlight not to be missed.”
The two-day program, designed for fabrication and sales personnel, promotes an understanding of HSI guidelines and best practices in hose design, manufacturing, and fabrication. Classroom learning is combined with hands-on experiences at three locations: Abbott Rubber, Kuriyama, and Uniflex (with a product demonstration by Ultra Clean Technologies). Activities at each site will showcase and demonstrate how HSI guidelines are used in practice.
