Intertraco’s one wire braid high temperature hose is used for both mineral and biological hydraulic oils, polyglicol based oils, water-oil emulsions and water. For hydraulic oils, the hose can contain fluids with temperatures from -40° to 275° F (-40° C to 135° C), and occasionally peaks up to 302° F (150° C). For polyglicol based oils, the hose can hold fluids with temperatures up to 185° F (85° C).
The FlexIT HT1 varies in sizes between 1/4 in. and 2 in., and varies in bend radius between 100 to 630 mm. A synthetic rubber tube makes up the inside of the hose, while one high-tensile steel wire braid creates the reinforcement. The hose is covered in a MSHA flame retardant approved blue synthetic rubber.

Most manufacturers use high-grade nitrile tubes for environmentally safe hydraulic fluids. Nitriles are tough enough to handle aggressive biodegradable fluids such as synthetic esters, polyglycols, and vegetable oils at operating temperatures up to 250°F. Nitrile materials also allow less permeation than neoprene when used with petroleum-based oils. (Permeation, or effusion, is fluid loss through the tube and hose.)
