FPTC Hot Technologies: CEJN’s ultra high-pressure hydraulic couplings and flat-face designs

April 18, 2018 By Mary Gannon Leave a Comment

CEJN North America will be showcasing its series 140 ultra high-pressure hydraulic couplings and its series 217 flat-face couplings and nipples at this year’s Fluid Power Technology Conference at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Visitors can see this and other CEJN coupling technologies at the FPTC  May 15-16.

Series 140 for ultra-high pressures
Featuring a non-drip design and safety ring to prevent accidental disconnection, the series 140 is recommended for bearing pullers, splitters, bolt tensioning applications, hydraulic test installations and extreme mining applications. This coupling withstands pressures up to 58,000 psi while disconnected and the nipple 43,500 psi while disconnected.

As part of the CEJN commitment to safety and quality, each coupling and nipple are pressure tested (up to full working pressure) before delivery. Dust caps are standard.

Flat-face designs offer easy, safe operation
CEJN’s series 217 flat-face couplings and nipples are rated for pressures up to 10,440 psi. The series offers a superior flow performance in relation to the working pressure. Its flat-face design keeps air inclusion and spillage down to a minimum, while protecting both the hydraulic system and the environment from contamination. The flat-face feature also enables one-handed operation and easy maintenance. To prevent unintentional connection and disconnection during operation, a safety lock is standard on all couplings.
