Durable flat-faced couplers from ZSi-Foster easily connect and disconnect hydraulic hoses from salt trucks and snow plows. They protect for 1,200 hours against white and red rust.
They minimize air inclusion upon connection and feature a sleeve-lock to prevent accidental disconnection. They are available in steel body sizes of 1 ⁄4 – 1-1 ⁄2 in. and in 316 stainless steel body sizes of 1 ⁄4 – 1 in.
Those with stainless steel Viton seals are rated for operating temperatures of –4° to 392°F and those with zinc nickel-plated steel Nitrile seals are rated for –40° to 223°F.
Zinc-nickel plating is available at no additional cost. Connect under pressure versions are also available. Multiple thread types include NPT and ORB. They are manufactured to ISO 16028.
Performance was recently documented after a full season of plowing and salt spraying in Michigan. “The ZSi-Foster FF Plus couplers didn’t show any white or red rust after a full season of use. They connected and disconnected easily without any leakage,” said Clinton County, Michigan Road Commission Supervisor.
