Flat face couplings with 90° angles

June 5, 2014 By Mary Gannon Leave a Comment

Holmbury-H90BH90 series flat face couplings from Holmbury Inc., Eastlake, Ohio, feature a 90° angle for high-pressure impulse applications where the envelope size is restricted. They are designed in accordance with the ISO 16028 standard.

The right-angle design also allows for easy mounting without the need for swivel joints additional fittings, thus reducing leakage paths and cost.

The 90° angle is incorporated right into the coupling body. This facilitates a non-spill design that prevents fluid loss during connection and disconnection. A locking sleeve prevents accidental disconnection.

They are rated for maximum working pressure of 350 bar (5075 psi) when coupled and operating temperatures of –20° to 100°C (–4° to 212°F).

The body is manufactured of carbon steel that has been treated to increase hardness, while Nitrile seals are standard. They are available in 3/8 in. male JIC, ¾ in. male JIC and ½ female SAE threads.
